Note: This article is only applicable to individuals with Admin access to the Goals module.
It’s often seen that more than setting the Goals, getting employees to update those Goals periodically is a bigger challenge for organisations since amid the day-to-day work, it’s normal for people to forget updating their goals.
At Mesh, we believe that Check-in Reminders are a great way to solve this.
With Check-in Reminders, Admins can decide on a particular day/date on which the entire Company will receive a notification to update their Goals.
On logging into Mesh for the first time, you will find a default monthly frequency for the Goal check-in reminders. However, this can be customised by Admins in a way that is optimised to enable better performance at their company.
To set a customised frequency for Goal Check In Reminders,
Step 1: Once you’re logged in on your Mesh account, go to Company. Select Goals under the Portfolio section from the left side navigation bar.
You would be able to see a list of your company’s goals for the ongoing timeline.
Step 2: Select the Settings tab beside the Manage tab on top, below the header.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Check-in Reminders section.
Step 4: To change the default check-in reminder frequency, click on the dropdowns and choose the option most suitable to you.
- The first dropdown carries a list of periods for which the reminder can be set. You can choose between "None", "Weekly", "Fortnightly" and"Monthly" depending on the frequency that you wish to set
- The other drop-downs would be available basis the period set in the first dropdown. For instance, if "Weekly" is selected in the first dropdown, only one extra dropdown will appear where you can choose the day when the reminder has to be triggered.
Whereas, if "Fortnightly" or "Monthly" is selected in the first dropdown, you can choose the instance ("First", "Second" etc.) and the day to deliver the reminder using the remaining drop-downs.
For instance, if you want your Company to receive check-in reminders for their goals on the second Monday of every month, select "Monthly", in the first dropdown, followed by "Second" in the second dropdown, followed by "Monday" in the third dropdown.
To stop receiving check-in reminders altogether, select "None" in the first dropdown.
Step 5: Once you have set the required frequency, hit Save.
Your Goal Check-in Reminder frequency would be updated.
Thus, by setting an optimum frequency of check-in reminders in your organisation, you can promote consistency and denable better performance across your organisation.
