Sharing Public Praise

Here’s the steps you can follow to share praise publicly with your colleagues. You can also use Mesh Maven’s Generative AI functionality to get feedback on and enhance your feedback-giving skills.

1. To navigate to sharing praise, click on Me on the left pane and click on Competencies under the portfolio section. Under intents, click on I want to manage feedback pending on me.
2. Click on the Share/Request button on the right side of the screen, above the area where all the feedback is shown.
3.  Click on Share public praise. Public praise is visible to everyone.
4. You can tag the receiver(s) you want to give praise to using the @ key. You can also tag the relevant competencies they have displayed, by clicking on the list of competencies below or tagging relevant competencies using the # key.
5. If the praise is related to a particular goal, you can click on Add Related Goal below the competencies. On the goals details pane that opens, you can select a particular goal/key result that the receiver is tagged to. Click on Save.
6. After writing your feedback, you can click on the Maven icon saying Help me write in the right corner of the feedback input area.
7. This will open up the Mesh Maven pane. Below the praise you’ve written, you can now see an analysis of your praise indicating what elements are present and which ones are missing. You can either manually modify your praise according to this analysis or click on Rephrase in the upper right corner to let Maven rephrase it. You can also use the other options in the drop-down menu in the upper right corner - if your praise is more than 150 characters, you can choose to Shorten it or Elaborate it further. You also have the option to Fix Grammar and Spelling.
8. Note that Maven only enhances what you’ve already written, it can not add new information to your praise. The rephrased text is again similarly analyzed. You can generate multiple versions of your praise with Maven - you can use the arrows at the bottom to toggle between all the versions.
9. Check your modified praise before publishing.  Once you are satisfied with the praise, you can click on Use this content to go ahead with sharing this version of the praise. In case you change your mind and don’t want to use Maven, you can click on the upper right corner of the Maven pane to minimize it.
10. When you’re satisfied with the praise you’ve written, click on “Save” to post.

Note: You can share praise from multiple intents under Competencies including I want to manage feedback pending on me, I want to view feedback received by me, I want to view feedback shared by me and I want to view my feedback requests.
