Your recent collaborators or peers may request you to share feedback with them to help them improve their performance - you can help them out by responding to their feedback requests.
- To navigate to feedback requests, click on Me on the left pane and click on Competencies under the portfolio section. Under intents, click on I want to manage feedback pending on me.
- You can see the feedback requests you have received here. Here, you can see who has requested the feedback, who they have requested it for, and when they had requested it.
- Click on the request you want to provide feedback for. You can see the details of the request in this pane. The requester may have even tagged this to a particular goal, which you can see here. You can choose to Accept or Deny this feedback request.
- You can write your feedback now. The visibility is set in the request by the requester, it can be set to public, manager and receiver, only receiver or only manager.
- Click on Share feedback. You can change the visibility depending on your preferences. You can choose for your feedback to be visible to the receiver only, the receiver and their manager, only their manager, or you can even save feedback as a note to yourself.
- You can tag any relevant competencies the requester may have displayed by clicking on the list of competencies below or tagging relevant competencies using the # key.
- If the feedback is related to a particular goal, you can click on Add Related Goal below the competencies. On the goals details pane that opens, you can select a particular goal/key result that the receiver is tagged to. Click on Save.
- After writing your feedback, you can click on the Maven icon saying Help me write in the right corner of the feedback input area.
- This will open up the Mesh Maven pane. Below the feedback you’ve written, you can now see an analysis of your feedback indicating what elements are present and which ones are missing. You can either manually modify your feedback according to this analysis or click on Rephrase in the upper right corner to let Maven rephrase it. You can also use the other options in the drop-down menu in the upper right corner - if your feedback is more than 150 characters, you can choose to Shorten it or Elaborate it further. You also have the option to Fix Grammar and Spelling.
- Note that Maven only enhances what you’ve already written, it can not add new information to your feedback. The rephrased text is again similarly analyzed. You can generate multiple versions of your feedback with Maven - you can use the arrows at the bottom to toggle between all the versions.
- Check your modified feedback before publishing. Once you are satisfied with the feedback, you can click on Use this content to go ahead with sharing this version of the feedback. In case you change your mind and don’t want to use Maven, you can click on the upper right corner of the Maven pane to minimize it.
- When you’re satisfied with the feedback you’ve written, click on “Save” to post.
