Employees on Mesh are automatically added if you have an active HRIS plugin enabled. With the HRIS integration existing employees are synced regularly, new employees are onboarded automatically, and exiting employees are removed from Mesh automatically.

If you’d like to add one or more employees manually on Mesh, you can either add individual employees or bulk upload a list of employees.
Adding individual employees
Step 1: Navigate to ‘Employee Details’ under ‘Settings’
Mesh Home → Company → Employee Details under the Settings section
Step 2: Click on ‘Add Employee’ button
The add employee panel should appear.
Step 3: Add necessary details for the employee such as their name, email address, manager’s email address, role etc
You can update any of these details later as well. Mandatory details (email, and first name) are marked with an asterisk (*).
Step 4: Click on ‘Add’ to submit the details and successfully add the said employee to Mesh
Adding multiple employees (bulk upload)
Step 1: Navigate to ‘Employee Details’ under ‘Settings’
Mesh Home → Company → Employee Details under the Settings section
Step 2: Click on ‘Bulk Upload’ button
The bulk upload panel should appear.
Step 3: Download the sample CSV file to make sure your competency data is ready for upload.
You can add following fields of data through the CSV
- Email ID*
- First Name*
- Last Name
- Function
- Designation
- Grade
- City
- Country
- Manager Email ID
- Gender
- Joining Date
- Date of Birth
- Primary team
- Secondary teams
- Role
- External Employee ID
- Preferred Name
* Of these, email and first name are mandatory. All others are optional.
Step 4: When ready upload the file using the ‘Upload’ button on the panel
Step 5: You would receive a success message toast on your screen, reload the page to view the added employees if uploaded correctly
