This article covers the steps required to add the Mesh-Slack integration to your workspace (for admins), how to start using the Slack integration (for everybody), and how to customise your (and your organisation's) notification settings for Slack.
Adding Mesh to Your Workspace (for Administrators)
Step 1: Navigate to the Slack sub-page in the Mesh plugin settings
Mesh Home → Company → Slack, under Settings section
Step 2: Click on the ‘Add to Slack’ button to initiate the integration
If necessary, log into Slack on the redirected page
Step 3: Click ‘Allow’ to add the Mesh app to your Slack workspace
This would authorise the Mesh integration to be added to your Slack workspace, for you and your team members to start using it.
Customising notification settings for Slack
Step 1: Navigate to your company’s notification settings
Mesh Home → Company → Notifications, under the Settings section (for company wide settings, admins only)
Mesh Home → Me → Notifications, under My Settings section (for individual settings)
Ensure that notifications for 'Third party chat applications' are enabled.
Step 2: From the section titled ‘What you get notified about’ enable or disable notifications based on your preferences
You can customise module-specific or platform wide-notifications. Additionally, a Mesh admin can also choose to set any settings as default settings for their organisation and for all its members.
