In this section, admins can select what roles or review types they would like to be part of the review cycle. They also define crucial settings for these reviewer types, based on whether or not they are part of the cycle.
Reviewers in a review cycle
The ‘Reviewers’ section lets you select the review (or reviewer) types in a review cycle. This essentially means what roles reviewers can play in a review cycle. Review types include - self review, manager review, dotted line manager review, peer review, and upward review.
In any cycle, self and manager reviews are added by default and cannot be deselected. You can choose to add or not add other review types.
Manager settings
In several cases, organisations would like to prevent employees’ managers to start filling or submitting reviews until the employees themselves have submitted their self reviews. Mesh enables this from this section. Choosing ‘Yes’ would mean managers can start writing reviews even when self reviews have not been submitted.
Nomination settings
Auto accept nominations
Admins can choose to not give the option to accept or reject nominations in the hands of the nominee, in a peer or dotted line manager review. In such cases, once nominated, a review nomination is automatically accepted and review form is created.
It is worth noting, once a (peer or dotted line manager) reviewer starts filling their form and the review status changes from ‘Not Started’ to ‘In Progress’ nominations cannot be withdrawn.
Nominations can only be withdrawn when they have either not been accepted and/or reviewer has not started answering questions.
Nominators / who can nominate?
Nominations for either type of review, peer or dotted line manager, can be made by
- either the employee and their manager
- or just the employee’s manager
The admin gets to choose what setting is enabled from this section.
Peer types
Peer nominations have advanced settings and rules that can be set by admins. You can learn more about these here.
