The review details section of the review creation flow covers the most basic details basis which the consequent setup start. These include the review period selection, and setting a review cycle name.
Review period
The review period is the time when we assess employee performance. For example, if you're evaluating any or all employees’ performance for the year 2023, the review period runs from January 1st to December 31st of that year.
It's important to grasp the review period because all the performance-related context, like employee goals, meetings with managers, competency check-ins, and other relevant data that reviewers use or consider during the review, come from this period.
That is, if your review cycle includes questions on goals, active goals from this time period would be picked for review.
This is not the same as review timelines. Review timeline, on the contrary, is the period when employees are allowed to write their reviews.
Review cycle name
The review cycle name is the main identifier for a review cycle. It's used in all communications to employees, both on and off the platform, whenever referring to a review.
Each review cycle name is unique and cannot be reused.
