The ‘Validation’ section of the review creation flow is essentially checks for any irregularities that may lead to experience different than what is expected for one or more employees. These are categorised as following -
Grade missing
In case a review cycle has peer review enabled, admins can set nomination rules, more about nomination advanced settings here.
In case an employee’s grade is missing they wouldn’t be able to nominate peers above or below their grade in the organisation tree. Everything else should work the same for them.
Admins would need to acknowledge this impact before moving ahead in the review creation process, in case this is true for one or more employees.
Manager missing
In case an employee does not have an assigned manager in the organisation tree on Mesh, this validation checkpoint would appear.
Employees with no managers assigned would not have a manager review created for them.
In case, there is peer nomination enabled only for managers to be able to make nominations, they wouldn’t be able to complete their peer or dotted line manager review as well directly. An admin would in that case have to nominate peers or dotted line managers for them in that case, or change the setting to allow them to nominate on their own.
Goals missing
In case an employee does not have active goals in the review period set by the admin, they would not have a ‘Goals Questions’ section in their review forms. This would be true for all types of reviews for the said employee.
That is, these employees would not be able to answer questions about their goals.
Note - the ‘Validation’ section is only available for a review cycle in draft stage. This section would not be available after a review cycle is launched.
